Members of the Southern Chapter and their partners recently took a visit to Guernsey.
Gilly Carr BSc (Hons) MICW who currently lives on the island took the group on a tour of St Sampson’s and Le Murier Schools that opened in September this year. Gilly, who is the Clerk of Works for the States Education Department on Guernsey, advised that, “The £37m project successfully opened 6 months early due to the close working relationship between the main contractor and the client”.
The group also visited St Peters Port and Fort Hommet, a fort that dates back to Napoleonic times and was updated by the Germans during the Second World War
